Main Features
Mangrove conservation forest
Mangroves are an integral part of the marine life ecosystem. They serve as a home for various sea creatures and also protect coastal areas like Palawan from erosion, storm surges, and tsunamis. By the Bay is bordered by such a glorious example of these lush mangroves. Trek through this unique forest and make friends with the crabs, birds, and small reptiles you meet on your way, just be sure to arm yourself with the right clothes, tough shoes, a bucket of insect repellent, and just the right amount of curiosity.
Garden, hammock, and outdoor sitting areas
Our bed and breakfast boasts of 900 square meters worth of open grounds. If you are a nature lover, you will definitely feel inspired to walk around and explore the surroundings. See if you can get the squirrels, locally called Bising, to come down from their mahogany forest, or spot the multitudes of birds that have made our sky their home, or lounge on our terrace perfectly content to just listen to the natural orchestra. Either way, we invite you to fully experience your oneness with nature during your stay!

Dining
The property has an in-house dining area which serves daily breakfast as early as 06:00, and dinner until 21:00. Our previous guests have given great reviews for the breakfast we serve (we like to think of ourselves as above-average cooks). Though the menu is limited, we welcome advance notice for any special request regarding your diet. Drinks and light snacks are also available throughout the day.
A short walk away is also a small fishing community, where several stalls selling fresh catch can be found. Seafood does not get any fresher than this. Guests are more than welcome to bring over their own catch to be prepared by our staff at a surcharge.
Front Desk
Jacana B&B’s friendly staff will also be happy to assist with laundry and ironing services, bicycle rentals, as well as in-room massage therapy. All these may be arranged with the front desk, which operates until 22:00 daily.
Shuttle Services and Parking
Guests may avail of our airport transfers at Php 150 per way as well as free private parking at By the Bay Jacana. Additional shuttle services to the city or to other points of interest may also be arranged with the front desk at a surcharge.
Business and Recreation
There is free WiFi access in all areas of By the Bay Jacana. Also available for guests are barbecue facilities, a small library of books and board games, and a designated smoking area. Bicycles may also be rented for Php 50 (1USD) per hour or Php 150 (3USD) for the whole day use.
For those staying for business, printing and photocopying services are also available.
